Objective To observe effect of pasiniazid gel against Mycobacterium tuberculosis in vitro and the safety of bronchial intervention therapy. Methods\ The MIC and MBC of pasiniazid and pasiniazid gel were measured by handwork and instrument methods,the safety of pasiniazid gel was assessed by bronchial intervention therapy using rabbits as experiment animals. Results\ The MIC of pasiniazid gel to M. tuberculosis H 37 Rv, M. bovis and M. phlei was 0 1, 0 1 and 0 4 mg/L; the MBC of those was 0 2, 0 2 and 1 6 mg/L respectively. The MIC and MBC of pasiniazid gel and pasiniazid had no significant difference without any harmful effect. Conclusion\ The effect of pasiniazid gel and pasiniazid against Mycobacterium tuberculosis was equivalent, and carbomer in the formula did not affect the activity of pasiniazid against Mycobacterium tuberculosis;meanwhile pasiniazid gel which contains carbomer was safe in bronchial intervention therapy.
