Abstract:he sffects of photoperiod on the growth, developinent and reproduc-tion of Syrian hamsters were examined in this experiment. There were23=6 groups of male and female weaning liamsters reared seperately inthree light: dark photoperiod circumstances ( 16L: 8D, 12L, 12D, and 8L: 16D) .At 13 weeks from birth, the body weights of shortlighting group( 8L: 16D ) male animals were significantly(P<0.05 ) higher than those ofthe other groups( i.e. 16L: SD and 12L: 12D ) . At 9 weeks from birth.the body weights of long-lighting group ( 16L: SD ) female animals weresignificantly ( P<0.01 ) higher than those of the other groups(i.e.12L,12D and 8L: 16D) . It is considered that the higlier daily intake mightbe one of the causes for long-ligliting female animals having greater bodyweights. With the increase of lighting time the weights of testes,epididy-mides and adrenals of male animals and the weights of ovaria, uteriand adrenals of female animals also presented a trend of incrsase. Long-lighting condition is beneficial to the normal estrogenicity and reproduc-tion of feinale hamsters. 16 hours lighting exposure each day is reasonablefor botli male and female breeding hamsters.

Abstract:he tibialis anterior muscles on both side of 8 rabbits were studied.According to its fiber architecture, origins. insertion and nerve dis-tribution, the tibialis anterior muscles was divided into two subvolumes :an anterior and a posterior. The muscle samples were taken respectivelyfrom each subvolumes of the tibialis anterior muscles. Frozen transversesections were stained for myosin ATPase. Muscle fibers were identifiedas type , type A and type B. The proportion of fiber types in eachportion and the distributive features in fascicule were calculated on mic-roscopic photographs. Mean cross-sectional areas and mean cross-sectionaldiarneters or three types were measured by imaging analytical system.Theresults showed a remarkably high proportion of type fibers in both theanterior and posterior subvolumes. The type A fibers in anterior subvo-lume comprise about 35.4%, and the type I fibers in posterior subvolumecomprise bout 24.5q% the average occurrence of type B fibers is about50% in both subvolumes, however no difference was found between the leftand right sides. The peripheral part of the fascicule contains 12.7-13.3q%type I fiber and type fiber 59.9-60.0% respectively. The fiber sizebetween type A and type B is similar, but type I fiber is smaller thantype fiber in all portions. The authors suggest that anterior subvolumeas designed to take part in the velocity and dorsiflexion of the foot andthat the posterior subvolume as designed only to stabilize the ankle and tomainta in the arches of foot during standing , running andjumping.

Abstract:hree hybridoma cell strains which could stably secrete McAbs to Mycoplasma pulmonis were established by hybridoma technique and coded BAllBD7, BG12 respectively. The study indicated that the McAbs produced bythe three strains were specific for M. pulmonis and didn't cross reactwith many other Mycoplasma species such as M.arthritidis, M. arginint,M. hyorhinis, and M. orale and so on. The three McAbs were all IgG

Abstract:e report a natural infection by S. moniliformis in clean C57BL/6Jmice and the clinical. pathological, bacteriological as well as the epizoo-tical characteristicses were observed, which is the first time in China.Among the 14 of examined mice with clinical signs: 71.4% of tha miceshowed the swelling and purulence of the cervical lymph nodes,50.0% and21.4% denionstrated the swelling and purulence of the subcutaneous andhilar lymph nodes of lung, 21.4% showed the polyarthritis including hockand toe joints and 7.l% showed uterine empyema. The same bacterium wasisolated from the lesions of all infected mice and from the blood, spleen, kidney, liver and lung in some of the infected mice. The expsrimentalinfection with the bacterium isolated from the mice was successful and thetypical clinicopathologic signs such as septicemia, arthritis, congestion, edema and cyanosis were observed in SPF mice .The pathogenic characteri-stics of the bacterium was also the same as that of S. moniliformis. However the other 4 mouse strains which closely related to C57BL/6J suchas 615, BALB/c, CBA, KM mice, were not infected by the S.moniliformis.It demonstrated that the susceptibility to S.moniliformis is predominantlyinfluenced by differsnce of strains of the mice.

Abstract:his study dealed with neonats cord plasma to treat rat with experi-mental hepatic failure, and compared with the effect of treatment withadult plasma. The result showed that death rate, serum alanine amino-transferase(ALT) and total bilirubin(TBIL) level were significantly lowerand A_fetoprotein (AFP) was significantly higher in neonate cord plasmagroup than those in adult plasma group ( P<0.05 ) . The histopathology ofthe liver indicated that there were action of decreasing pathologic damageand quickly repairing necrotic hapatocytes in the neonate cord plasma.Theabove result revealed that neonate cord plasma contains factors of promo-ting hepatocyte regeneration and can increase markedly curative effect ofsurvival rate in rat with experimental hepatic failure.

Abstract:o study and comparison the characteristics of high and low met-astatic cancer cells, two quamous carcinoma cell strains derived fromthe mouse forestornach carcinoina cell line (MFC) being possessedspontaneous hemotogenous metastasis by clonal technique and transplan-tation experinient have been established. Some comparative studies bet-ween the cells of MFC-C34 and MFC-C64 on the doubling time. mitoticindex, growth speed of tumor transplantation of the cloned cells inmice, the incidence of lung metastasis, the electrophoretic mobility ofliving cells were carried out. Shorter doubling time, higher averagemitotic index, faster growth speed and bigger volume for the tumor formedby homeotransplantation, higher incidence of lung metastasis, fasterelectrophoretic mobility were seen in the AIFC-C34, with significantlystatistical difference as compared with MFC-C64, a low metastaic capa-city cell strain.MFC-C34 and MFC-C64 cell strains will be very useful materials forthe study of the characteristics of metastatic cancer cells and experi-mental treatment of the metastasis.

Abstract:he orthotopic transplantion of human hepatocellular carcinoma wascarried out effectively and safely by adnministering with thiopentalsodium (30mg/kg) dissolved in 30% alcohol for anaesthesia and withspongia gelatinosa absorbentia soaked in Reptilase (250 ki U/ml) forcoaguiation in nude mice. Two human hepatocellular carcinoma celllines (HHC4 and HHC15) set up in nude mice were orthotopic-ally transp lanted into liver of nude mice successfully underSPF conditions. Orthotopic xenograftes grew well and propagatedsteadily and secreted AFP consistently in correspondence with theincreased volume of tumor. The rate of orthotopic propagation inHHC4 was increased (P<0.01) by administration of CCl4 ( 0.5% )0.1ml dissolved in olive oil before a week of xenograft. Withoutany treatment, HHC15 orthotopic transplantation had higher rate ofinoculation ( 100%) than that of HHC15 subcutaneous transplantation(93.3%), Based on the hepatocellular necrosis damaged by CCl4,the orthosopic model of hepatocellular carcinoma in nude mice wassimilar to the pathophysiological characteristics of pathogenesis ofthe hunfian hepatocellular carcinoma. These models will contribute tothe screening antitumor drugs.

Abstract:n order to reveal the actual pathomorphological changes of theroutine description such as pathological terms: slight, moderate or severeactivity of germinal center immunoblasts in lymph node, and slight, moderate or severe deposition of immune complex in germinal center. Thetheory of Fuzzy Mathemat ics was introduced to computer recognizingsystem. This system might study pathological pattern with Fuzzy Char-acters on the basis of accumulative experience. In this paper we haveused the above system to express lymph nodes' pathological changes inthe paper of "Establishment of SIV SAIDS and lts Treatment withChinese Medicince" .By the use of this system a good fuzzy characterappeared and also be used to examine the SIV quantity and amount ofimmune complex in lymph nodes.
