作者等在中国地鼠发现一种蠕形螨，受检地鼠于1999年初引自北京。共检查8只地鼠，均为雄性，获得蠕形螨成虫3只，虫卵1枚。据分类特征该螨应属于蠕形螨科、蠕形螨属，但某些形态特征与已见描述的该属中其他品种不同，有待于进一步观察研究。
Authors found 3 adults and 1 egg of mites in Chinese hamsters in early 1999. 8 males of examined hamsters were from Beijing.The mites belong to the family Demodicidae,genus Demodex by taxonomic characteristics,but they are different from other species described before Further study would be needed.
