Objective The SARS is an infectious disease which was newly conformed in China. The effective clinical treatment for this disease is still being under studying, The aim of the present study was to investigate the protective effect of antiSARS-CoV antibody on SARS-CoV infection in Macaca mulatta monkey model. Methods To analyze changes of anti-SARS-CoV antibody treated SARS-monkeys. Results The aquired neutralization antibody for SARS-CoV inhibited the replication of the virus to a certain extent. The pathological changes of the antibody treatment group were lighter than those in the SARS-monkey group. Conclusions Our findings suggested that anti-SARA-CoV neutralization antibody therapy is a potentially useful clinical treatment for SARS.
