Abstract:Objective To investigate the histocompatibility of materials for dermis and to provide data for tissue engineering skin construction. Methods Five scaffolds, collagen sponge, gelatin sponge,Poly(lactic acid-co-glycolic acid)(PLGA),poly(3-hydroxybutyric acid-co-3-hydroxyvaleric acid)(PHBV) and composite collagen gel were subcutaneously implanted into rats, respectively. The morphological changes and degradation process were observed. Results The tissue reactions induced by composite collagen gel and collagen sponge were slightly with reparative connective tissue proliferation,by PLGA and PHBV were moderately with lymphocyte and macrophage infiltration, and by gelatin sponge was similar to that of PLGA and PHBV.Conclusion\ These 5 scaffolds were histocompatible and degradable material to promote fibroblast ingrowth and vascularization, and were suitable for construction of tissues engineering skin.
