Animal model of human disease plays an important role in medical research, but spontaneous human disease cannot satisfy needs of medical research. Thus, it has wide applied prospect that research of animal model of human disease is performed by using gene targeting. Gene targeting technology and its application in research of animal model of human disease were briefed in this paper.
