Abstract:Two lectures covering the management of laboratory mouse colonies were presented in November at the laboratory animal medicine technical training seminars sponsored by the Chinese Association for Laboratory Animal Sciences in Xi’an. Topics covered include troubleshooting mouse reproductive performance and managing genetically engineered colonies. The purpose of this article is to highlight the materials covered and to offer references for further reading. It is advised that references cited in this article be reviewed for a more comprehensive coverage on the topics presented.
