Over the last 30 years, experimental models of epilepsiesy have contributed greatly in to improving our understanding of epilepsy and identification of potential therapeutic agents for epilepsy. However,there is notno one “ideal” animal model exists for the discoverying of new antiepileptic drugs and or fully explaining epileptogenesis.
