Laboratory animal centers provide a crucial support platform for research and teaching in various disciplines in universities, including science, technology, agriculture, and medicine, providing a venue for animal experiments for faculty members and students. The facilities and equipment in these laboratory animal centers provide important safeguards to ensure the quality of animal housing environments and the health of personnel. This review summarizes the recent operation and maintenance of facilities and equipment and the management of troubleshooting at Yunnan University Laboratory Animal Center, with the aim of providing a comprehensive reference for enhancing the stability, reliability, efficiency, and energy conservation of equipment operation in university laboratory animal centers, and ensuring the safe and efficient operation of these centers.
