Abstract:In response to insufficiencies found with traditional Comparative Medicine course teaching, such as emphasizing theory while neglecting practice and its single evaluation form, the “ Laboratory Animal Disease Models” course adopts the outcome-based education (OBE) concept as its core and establishes a “three-dimensional integrated” teaching model. This involves integration of theory, virtual simulation, and practice, multi-dimensional dynamic assessment, and full integration of animal welfare and ideological education based on outcome-based education. This study examines the way this approach impacts student research design capabilities and animal welfare awareness by introducing innovative approaches such as virtual simulation experiments, case repository development,and ethical debate competitions, establishing a new paradigm for cultivating life science professionals with innovative abilities and humanistic care.
