The Brand’s vole，Lasiopodomys brandtii（Radde，1861）distributed widely in the world, and had been recognized as 3 subspecies, recently. This article introduces the recent study on Brandt's vole, including: ecology characteristics, physiology, population genetics, and the experiment animalization for this species. Besides, this paper included in some controversial for the names and systematic classification of this species.
