Abstract:Objective To establish an animal model that can truly reflect the pathogenesis of diabetic cardiomyopathy by statistically analyzing the key modeling elements and detection indexes involved in constructing animal models of diabetic cardiomyopathy (DCM) both at home and abroad in order to provide valuable references to improve the success rate of modeling and establish the standard of animal models of diabetic cardiomyopathy. Methods? We searched the journals about diabetic cardiomyopathy animal experiments in China Knowledge, Wanfang, Wipro, PubMed, and Web of Science databases in the past 10 years and organized and summarized the experimental animal species, gender, age, weight, modeling method, positive control drug type and cycle, detection indexes, quantity of articles and the, quality of articles, etc., established a database and used Excel 2021, Origin 2022, SPSS Modeler 18.0, Cytoscape 3.10.3 for statistical analysis.Results? A total of 228 papers were included. Most of the animal models of diabetic cardiomyopathy were prepared in male SD rats induced by a high-sugar and high-fat diet combined with streptozotocin; the success of model replication was generally checked by blood glucose and echocardiography; the high-frequency tests used were Western blotting protein immunoblotting and HE staining; in the studies containing positive control drugs, the most frequently applied drug was metformin, followed by rosiglitazone. Conclusion? At present, the animal model of diabetic cardiomyopathy still lacks a systematic evaluation of Chinese medicine evidence, and the modeling method and the standard of modeling have not been unified, so the modeling method and evaluation system of the animal model of diabetic cardiomyopathy in the future need to be further improved.
