Abstract:Objective: To analyze the current status and optimization directions of animal models of post-myocardial infarction depression based on literature data mining. Methods: Systematic searches were conducted in Chinese and English databases for relevant literature, followed by extraction of model parameters and statistical analysis. Results: A total of 107 studies were included. The models predominantly used male SD rats or C57BL/6 mice, primarily employing composite modeling methods combining coronary artery ligation with chronic unpredictable mild stress; behavioral assessments focused on forced swim, open field, and sucrose preference tests, targeting despair, exploratory, and anhedonic behaviors; modeling durations were mostly within 4 weeks. Conclusion: Based on current literature analysis, the construction of animal models for post-myocardial infarction depression has demonstrated a standardized trend dominated by SD rats and C57BL/6 mice, with composite modeling effectively simulating the complex pathophysiological processes of the disease. However, improvements are still needed in gender balance, standardization of modeling duration, and evaluation of neuro-cardiac comorbidity mechanisms.
