Forty-one wild Rhesus monkeys from Zhulin in Simao County in Yunnan province wer e tested for the serum antiboties to SRV by Western Blot. Nine monkeys showed p ostive reactivity to the transmembrane glycoprotein, iegp20. There weren't rea ctivity to the envelope protein, iegp70, and major core protein, iep27 in 41 mon keys. The results showed SRV postive monkeys were existent in wild rhesus monkey s of Simao area in Yunnan.
