At recent years, chronic renal failure(CRF) animal model has been successfully induced in many animals such as swine, guinea pig, rabbit, cat, sheep, dog, rat, mouse, \%etc\%.Used methods include surgery, freezing, electric coagulation, ligation, drug, immunity and so on.Every method has its advantages and disadvantages.Using reasonable models may make it better to carry on the study on the laboratory and clinic of CRF.So the article reviews the principle, method, character of CRF animal models, which are expected to provide some reference to the therapy and study of CRF.
