    Abstract:

Objective To investigate the changes of red cell immune adherence function,IL-6 and sIL-2R levels in experimental epileptic rats. Methods Healthy Wistar rats(n=40) were divided into control group(n= 10,treated with saline) and model group(litium-pilocarpine-treated group,n =30).The red cell immune adherence function according to RBC-C3bR rosette-forming ability was measured by red cell C_(3b) receptor rosette test.IL-6 expression was determined by radioimmunoassay and sIL-2R measured with sandwich enzyme linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA).Results There was a statistically significant difference in RBC-C3bR and RBC-IC between the two groups(p< 0.05),and the differences of IL-6 and sIL-2R were very significant(p<0.01).Conclusion Our findings indicate that immune factors probably participate in the epilepsy pathogenesis and epilepsy may lead to immunological alterations.
