In order to assure the accuracy of the diuretic pharmacology experiment, a screening procedure play an important role in improving the uniformity of experimental animals. At present, the screening method designed by Aston Roy is used widely in our country. In abroad, however, the method designed by Kau is popular. The latter is suitable for diuretic pharmacology of the traditional Chinese medicine, because of its merits such as smaller numbers of sample,reproducible,longer period and so on. It is concluded that this method should be applied to test animals screening procedure of the Chinese herb pharmacology experiment.
