Heparin-binding epidermal growth factor-like growth factor ( HB-EGF) is a member of the epidermal growth factor (EGF) family． HB-EGF is a potent mitogen for a number of cell types and has been implicated in a variety of physiological and pathological processes，including myocardial remodeling，fibroblast hyperplasia and collagen expression． In this review，the HB-EGF in myocardial remodeling was summarized．
