Laboratory animal bedding，which is close to laboratory animal，is one of the important environmental factors which have a direct effect and influence on laboratory animals． This paper reviews the laboratory animal bedding's species and disinfection，the building of quality control and evaluation system，the commercialization and other issues，and provides a significant reference for the development and the improvement of national standards of laboratory animal bedding．
