Abstract:To compare the different methods of lipofection with calcium phosphate,we used them to transfer the GFP report gene into HeLa cell line and the results of the number of fluorescent cells showed that the lipofection is an more ideal method for introduction of foreign gene into the eukaryotic cells because of its higher efficiency and simple operation.

Abstract:There were found Mousepox Virus (MPV) acute or chronic infection in laboratory mice.Seven,three,two and one acute infection of MPV occurred in Kunming,NIH,ICR and BALB/c mice respectively in near 10 years.MPV chronic persistent infection was demonstrated by immunofluorescence assay(IFA). Both retrospective and prospective epidemiological surveys confirmed that IFA positive was related to outbreak of Ectromelia. IFA should be applied for monitoring chronic persistent infection of MPV in mice.

Abstract:In this paper,the effect of mutagenicity of the Jiuxin Fumai Injection was investigated.The results showed that Jiuxin Fumai Injection did not induce positive mutation of strains TA 97 , TA 98 ,TA 100 and TA 102 in the Ames test.The rates of CHO chromosome aberration of Jiuxin Fumai Injection were negative range(<5%).The results of micronucleus assay of polychromatic erythrocytes in mice of Jiuxin Fumai Injection at 3 doses of 2.0 g/kg, 4.0 g/kg, 8.0 g/kg would not be to induce increase of its micronuclei.It was proved that Jiuxin Fumai Injection had no any mutagenicity in this experiment.

Abstract:ES cells can provide a useful system in vitro for studing differentiation and development in the absence of differentiation inhibitory factor (DIF) or leukemia inhibititory factor (LIF).The feeder layer can produce LIF which can maintain ES cells in the state of undifferentiation and development.We chosed 10 d,14 d,18 d pregnant mice to produce feeder layer.The results showed that feeder layer from 10d to 18 d pregnant mice cultured ES-D 3 all grew well.

Abstract:Replacing the feeding of green food was studied by adding Vitamin C(Vc) to drinking water for guinea pigs in varied physiological condition.It could meet the needs of Vc in growing and adult guinea pigs that the concentrention of Vc in drinking water was 350 mg/L. In the guinea pigs of varied physiological conditions which included pregnancy and lactating, the concentration of Vc in drinking water should be 700 mg/L.The results show that it is useful to add Vc to drinking water for discontinuing the feeding of green food in guinea pigs.The necessary concentration of Vc in drinking water for late pregnant and lactating guinea pigs is much higher than that of the guinea pigs at other physiological conditions.

Abstract:Jingchu Rheumatism Ointment was applied to the skin of laboratory rabbits for six consecutive months in order to observe its long-term toxic reaction. The results showed:(1)The rabbits in all ointment groups(O) and in all blank ointment groups (B) didn't die during the experiment.Their behaviour,activity,hair, feces were not found abnormal.Their food-intake and body weight were without any obvious variation;(2) After the experiment periods of three months and six months, the hematology examination of rabbits in all Ogroups and in all B groups was not made with distinct difference;(3) The blood biochemical measurement values in Ogroups and in B groups were basically similar;(4) When the systematic thanatopsia of laboratory rabbits,one rabbit each in a high-dose O group and a B group demonstrated 2-3 yellow-white circular nodes as large as a green bean in lingula pulmonis sinistri.Ohter organs were not found of obvious pathologic changes;(5)With the histopathology examination, the pathologic change of lung tissue seem by naked eyes was a focal suppurative inflammation (abscess) under microscope.The results indicated no toxicity of the ointment inunction for six months.

Abstract:Objective To evaluate influences of treated dose adriamycin (ADR) on heart function and trace element content of left ventricular tissue and protective effect of taurine (Tau) on rabbit myocardium. Methods The pure New Zealand rabbits were assigned randomly to adriamycin (ADR) group(n=9),control group(n=9) and ADR Tau group (n=8).Rabbits of ADR group received an injection of ADR (2mg/kg, i.v.) once a week.For 8 weeks of experiment, rabbits of control group were similarly injected with saline.Rabbits of ADR Tau group received an injection of ADR (2 mg/kg.i.v.) once a week and from the third week the rabbits received Tau(200mg/kg, per os) once a day. Heart rate (HR),cardiac output (CO), blood pressure (BP),ferrum(Fe) and magnesium(Mg) of left ventricular tissue were examined 3 weeks after last time of injection. Results CO and BP were significantly decreased in the ADR group compared with the control group (P<0.01). BP was significantly decreased in the ADR tau group compared with the control group(P<0.01). The content of Fe and Mg in control group was significantly higher than that of ADR group (P<0.05,P<0.01).The Fe content of ADR group was significantly lower than that of taurine-treated group (P<0.05). Conclusion Heart function is decreased by treated-dose ADR injection. Tau would play a protective role on rabbit myocardium.

Abstract:The two kinds of Jiangxi tea could increase the activity of SOD in red cell (P<0.01),which was dose dependent,and significantly reduce the level of MDA,glucose content and TG in blood. But they showed no effect on the body weight of the experimental animals and their diet and drink consumption.These observations suggested that the two kinds of Jiangxi Tea may be useful in human health and antiaging.

However,those units have to import SPF eggs oversea, spending in 1993, SPF chicken flock of BWEL was developed in Harbin Veterinary Research Institute of CAAS through epidemic disease cleaning, susceptibility of biology and selection and cultivation.

Abstract:Ovarian tissue cryopreservation is being developed as a method for preserving the ovarian function of young women at risk of early ovarian failure and young cancer patients. Now this research is still at animal experimental stage. Based on a lot of animal experiments, scientists have developed two kinds of cryopreservation programme:slow cooling-fast thawing method(two step method),fast cooling-fast thawing method.The cryoprotectants have also been investigated and lots of methods to evaluate the viability of frozen-thawed ovarian tissue produced. Recently,a lamb was born after orthotopic transplantation of frozen ovine ovarian tissue. We believe that human being will be benefited from this work.

Abstract:Authors found 3 adults and 1 egg of mites in Chinese hamsters in early 1999. 8 males of examined hamsters were from Beijing.The mites belong to the family Demodicidae,genus Demodex by taxonomic characteristics,but they are different from other species described before Further study would be needed.

Abstract:Objective To promote the success rate of tracheal intubation in rats. Method Comparison of traditional method with the improved method was made. Results The success rate of the Lmproved method was 100%, rather higher than 50% success rate of traditional method. Conclusion Improved method is superior to traditional method.
