    Abstract:

Venous malformations (VM) are the most common type of congenital vascular malformations. At present, their pathogenesis has not been fully elucidated, and treatment strategies are not yet mature. Animal models play important roles in the study of the pathological mechanisms and treatment of VM. This paper summarizes the basic pathogenesis of VM and the research status of VM animal models at home and abroad, expounds several common model construction method and result , and discusses the advantages and disadvantages of the models to provide a reference for researchers when selecting and establishing experimental animal models.
