As the earliest professional academic journal in China that focuses on comparative medicine, Chinese Journal of Comparative Medicine implements a rigorous peer-review system and triple-review-and-proofreading process.
In order to improve the efficiency of manuscript processing, as well as to standardize the behavior of authors, all manuscripts submitted online must provide the following mandatory materials or information effective immediately:
1. All co-authors must have reviewed and approved the manuscript content, consented to authorship, and agreed to submission. Therefore, the information of all authors should be registered in the submission system, especially the first author and corresponding author, including functional email addresses and mobile numbers. In addition, the Authorship Contribution Statement (Authorship Contribution Statement) should be uploaded as an attachment to the manuscript. A Conflict of Interest Statement should be provided if applicable; otherwise, include the declaration: “No conflicts of interest exist” in the manuscript.
2. The Copyright Transfer Agreement (Copyright Transfer Agreement) of Chinese Journal of Comparative Medicine should be uploaded as an attachment and stamped. Among them, it is necessary to promise that this manuscript has no multiple submissions, no authorship disputes, no confidentiality breaches, originality and authenticity of data and other scientific integrity.
3. For research articles involving laboratory animals, the production license of the laboratory animal supplier, animal use license of the institution where experiments were conducted, and the certificate of research ethical approval (preferably the Animal Welfare Ethical Review Form) should be uploaded as an attachment.
4. If the study received funding, a stamped copy of the funding approval notice should be uploaded as an attachment. Generally, it is including funding name, grant number, project title (consistent with the manuscript), principal investigator and institution, project start/end dates, and other information related to this manuscript.
5. Please recommend 2~3 reviewers (academic rank of associate professor or higher) in this field when submitting manuscripts with their valid contact details. The editorial office may, but is not obligated to, invite these reviewers.
